so a follow up vid to your installation of the pizza cutters? how do you like them?????

im looking at this exact setup, I run Bilstein 6112 with 2.75 ish lift. Im currently on 285/75 R17 (33) and no rub at all on stock 07 FJ 7 inch wheels, do you think you could have put the pizza cutters on with NO body chop mod and not rubbed ? Thanks

I installed a Magnuson supercharger on my 07 yota fj cruiser. I got lucky I bought mine from a Toyota dealership for 5500 2 years ago. My 07 has 245,000 on the odometer 6 speed manual, I installed the kit myself, and Magnuson makes it extremely easy to install the supercharger, so if someone thinks it's difficult, you will be wrong , I feel Toyota are very to work on and build a well built overlanding vehicle or offroader only issue was tuning once I called Magnuson technician it solve any issues but my gas mileage sucks due to Mickey Thompson mtz 35x12.50x18 and additional weight , it will never beat a bugatti but power when needed 😊

Just found this video and have nothing but good things to say! I'm on my second FJ and will likely have a 3rd if a good deal comes along. My first was a Voodoo Blue 2007 2WD. It had a branded title due to a theft recovery total loss, which made it hard to sell for the dealer who had it for almost a year. (Lenders do not like branded titles). I made a cash offer and the dealer reluctantly accepted. It had 99k miles at purchase, it needed the crank sensor replaced, a new windshield, and tires. Beyond general services and another set of tires at 150k, I had no repair issues up to 225k miles when I sold it...wholesale to a dealer.....for $1500.00 more than I paid for it!!!! My next FJ is a 2011 4WD TRD in White. It had less factory options than the 2007 (no temp, compass pod, and no sub in the rear) but the backup cam was a welcomed addition (even with the tiny view). This one had a previous life on a farm, complete with the back full of hay, and lots of loose bumper trim in the rear (lets say black zip ties are much cheaper than body panel clips). I've got a few strange dents where it seems the doors may have swung into the front fenders. Purchased with 212k miles and going on the second set of tires, it now has 273k miles and other than regular maintenance I've had to put in a new fuel pump (in the tank...go in from the rear floor...but a quick fix once parts were found). I use mine for business travel, not off-road, but they "fit me" and if I made any alteration, it would be a less spartan drivers seat...I've often considered swapping out for the front row out of a 4runner. Looking at values, even considering the miles and flaws on the body, I'm confident the 2011 is still worth what I initially paid for it. But I can't replace it with a lower mileage 13 or 14 for less than double. These vehicles really do not depreciate if you take into consideration wear and tear, which makes them hard to obtain...a great problem to have, I guess.

Skinny tires are good for rock crawling with okay in wet conditions. In snow and mud and sand wider tires are the way to go.

100% fj. There are still great low mile ones out there, you just need to look (hard). For me you can't beat the styling. Great video on the introduction of the Land Cruiser but it's a bit like comparing apples to oranges.

2011 6MT… is my last vehicle. I love it- it does everything. I even pull our 21 open bow boat with it. #5000 tow rating . 18mpg - 180k miles so far.

Ive driven MT's 4 decades now. My FJ MT is by far the easiest, smoothest, and most forgiving MT I have ever come across. I recommend anyone trying to learn to find one to practice with.

In the Middle East, you won't find a 2007 FJ Cruiser for less than $13000-$14000 with at least 150 k miles on them and they are becoming scarse

have you tried elwood pass, north of pagosa springs? There are many water crossings going up. Very fun, though not the most scenic. most fun just after it opens. dries up early summer. at one point you get to drive maybe 300 yards upstream.

post 2010's are the best for more power, reliability, no metal cracking in engine bay. I have a 2012 TTSE, Red. Any 2010 or later TTSE in the FJ to buy. Mine has 98k miles and just broken in! Not for sale.

I think the FJ is better for offroading. Because it is so cheap I don't mind breaking something. And they are fairly easy to work on. Buying a new LandCruiser and then modding it to take it off road seems like a way too expensive fix. I do like how analog the FJ is even changing 2H, 4H, and 4L is a breeze. Unlike these newer Toyotas which are only a button but they seem finicky. But for me the FJ is a third car. If I was only going to have one the LandCruiser probably drives better so I would probably pick it.

I'm an original owner of a 2008 FJ which is still my daily driver after 240k miles. It was my first new car in my 20s. I've been looking around for my next car seriously for 5+ years because I know I can't keep driving long 5+ hour trips forever without issue. I almost got a bronco but I've decided I'll wait and get a land cruiser in 2 years when all the kinks have been worked out. I remembering the various recalls the FJ had as a early model owner. I'll never sell my FJ though. To many memories and I plan on just driving it around town to keep the miles off my new ride. Never thought I would still be driving it though.

My o7 yota fj sitting on Mickey Thompson mtz 35x12.50x18 no body mount chop no rubbing, but i do have a 6in pro comp lift kit and with the add on i need to regear my axle to 488 my fuel mileage sucks for a Toyota i can barely get 200 miles on full tank, i do have a Magnuson supercharger installed and i don't drive like i stole it my yota is very heavy, i also installed jba high caster upper control arms with grease zerks on ball joints ,

Great review, I had bought a 2007 with hail damage for 9000 thousand dollars with 60,000 miles. It was an amazing car but someone ran a red light hit me, from what I was told the FJ rolled over two or three times. Nothing happened to me, I got up and walked out the backside Window. My wife asked what kind of car are you getting next? I told her, the same thing an FJ. I then got an 2008 with 120,000 miles. I’m in Utah and this thing cuts through the snow like nothing. When the city is snowed in first thing in the mornings, I go for a ride. and this is all less than four years ago and the car runs amazing with 162,000 miles. I Just replaced the front headlight and got a new windshield. The car runs and looks amazing. I’m 63 and I plan on this being my last car till I’m 110 years old.

Hi from the U.K. Great informative video, the disembling the tender was a big help to me as Im fitting this Genersis tender to my Rivorossi bigboy & had to change the tender pick up point & its going to work fine. Mine is about a month old, to me. $13,700 with trade for my 2001 V8 5.4 Triton with 250,000 miles. 2008…Seats look new, dash looks new, clean engine, paint looks great…had to replace 2 cats after I first got it. It had 144,800 miles on it when I bought it. I feel so blessed and feel like I got a great deal. Brick Red

Are they both on 93 octane fuel? I noticed the one without supercharger rev’d all the way to redline. I feel like the superchargered one had the check engine light on which wouldn’t allow it to run to redline but I’m unsure.

Although i dont have any special editions i finally got my FJ cruiser, over a decade in the making. 2014 in army green, but has everything else standard in it like atrac, and diff lock as well as subwoofer. Absolutely love it and look forward to more adventures in it

2007 all day long for me. Updating the head unit for BT is easy peezy. 4.0L V6 is king. Torque is what I want when I'm exploring off-road. :)
